Day 8 - Women's Cooperative in San Ramon and Waterfalls
Today marked our first full day in San Ramón, and it was filled with new experiences and excitement. We were introduced to the variety of service projects we'll be working on with the Women’s Cooperative, and we’re looking forward to getting started tomorrow.
One of the highlights of the day was tasting unique vegetable ice cream, definitely a new experience for most of us! We also visited a nearby farm where we met some adorable baby pigs. The guinea pigs were a big hit too, though we think Mr. Bowden may have loved them even more than the rest of us!
We took a short walk to a nearby waterfall for a group photo before enjoying a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we ventured deeper into the rainforest and hiked to a stunning waterfall. The swim there was absolutely refreshing and the perfect way to cool off.
We wrapped up the day with dinner back at our homestays and are now getting some well-deserved rest. We can’t wait to dive into our service projects tomorrow. Stay tuned for more updates!
Hasta mañana!
